Art Book Update – April 20th, 2013

I’ve received a copy of the book last week. It looks awesome! I know I promised to release the names of the artists included in the publication this weekend but our team of IP Law students at USC need to check a couple if things before I can finalize the book.

As soon as I hear back from our friends at USC I will send you all an update.

I’m sorry for the delay and I hope the anticipation will make it even more exciting to get your hands on a copy of the book.

Art Book Update – April 2013

I’ve got some good news. LA-Artist.com’s first ArtCard book is complete!

I will announce the artworks/ artists that are in the book via YouTube, Twitter and Facebook next weekend (April 20th/21st).

Collectible Art Pins – Support LA-Artist.com!

Every six months we’re going to turn a number of ArtCards into collectible art pins. The goal is to make contemporary art a little more affordable and at the same time raise funds to print and distribute more blank ArtCard canvases across LA.

This month we have selected art by Frank Furlong, Goldstein, Liliam, Katrina Alexy, AMPS, Frank Pacheco, KADBER, Amanda Ferrell Hale, Charlotte Norsworthy, Sammy Ruiz, Moo | Monika Mori, Lee Goldberg, Krasp One, Michael L. Martin, KIWA, Mark Encinas, DISS, Jose Alvarez, Jeanie Frias, and Jessica Morgan Amos.

Happy New Year!

Wow, it’s 2013. Last year flew by! I want to thank everyone who supported LA-Artist and the ArtCard project through 2012. We couldn’t have done it without you! A quick recap: We successfully exhibited ArtCards in Avenue 50 Studio, Arroyo Seco Library, Dana Neighborhood Library and the Bresee Foundation, hosted art-making workshops at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Lummis Day, and the Levitt Pavilion and now have over 1600 ArtCards in the collection! Thank you for your submissions!

As we enter 2013, we are looking forward to publishing the first ArtCard book (with the help of our friends at USC), and will be printing and distributing 10,000 more blank ArtCard canvases across L.A.!

Two things to remember:

  1. Anyone can order FREE blank ArtCards online at LA-Artist.com/participate/
  2. Tell your friends about LA-Artist.com!

Book Update – Nov 16th, 2012

Due to a large number of ArtCard submissions and an exhausting curation process we have had to postpone LA-Artist.com’s first book release until early next year.

We will be announcing which artists have been selected for publication in January via this mailing list, so keep your eyes peeled.

For those of you who have already ordered the book, I will be sending you a personal message to make arrangements (you guys are awesome be the way!).
